Dr. Saeed is an Associate Member in the Moffitt Malignant Hematology program. He earned his MD at the University of Baghdad, College of Medicine, Iraq. He completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Kentucky, College of Pharmacy, in Dr. Abeer Al-Ghananeem’s Lab.
Dr. Saeed completed an Internal Medicine Residency and Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship, and he served as Chief Fellow at the University of Kentucky. Prior to Moffitt, Dr. Saeed practiced at the University of Kentucky, where he was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology and Blood and Marrow Transplantation, College of Medicine. Dr. Saeed specializes in treating blood cancers. His primary clinical focus includes the management of Non-Hodgkin’s and Hodgkin’s lymphomas. Dr. Saeed’s primary research expertise focuses on early phase clinical trials using novel chemotherapy combinations. He is also interested in understanding blood cancer characteristics and outcomes through population-based studies.
Dr. Hayder Saeed is a physician and a leading figure in the field of Hematology/Oncology, currently associated with the Moffitt Cancer Center. In his role, he significantly contributes to advancing cancer care and research, particularly in the realm of malignant hematology. Dr. Saeed also plays a pivotal role as Moffitt’s representative to the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines for B-cell lymphoma, where he lends his expertise to shape national standards in cancer care.
Further highlighting his leadership within the medical community, Dr. Saeed chairs the clinical practice committee of the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology (FLASCO). This position underscores his commitment to improving clinical practices and patient care in oncology across Florida.
